ABSTRACT

Spontaneous hemopneumothorax is a rare disorder, complicating 1-12% of patients with spontaneous pneumothorax. It can be can be life-threatening if not recognized and treated in time. We present two patients who presented to us with nontraumatic spontaneous hemopneumothorax. The clinical features of these patients and the results of conservative and surgical management were discussed briefly.

ÖZET

Spontan hemopnömotoraks, spontan pnömotorakslı olguların %1-12 sinde ortaya çıkan nadir görülen bir hastalıktır. Zamanında tanınmaz ve tedavi edilmezse hayatı tehdit edebilir. Travma hikayesi olmaksızın spontan hemopnömotoraks tanısı konulan iki hastayı sunuyoruz. Bu iki hastanın klinik özellikleri ile konservatif ve cerrahi tedavilerinin sonuçları kısaca tartışıldı.
